Approximately 1,500 surgeries on 700 feet were performed in 2007. With this number of surgeries, the Aukammklinik is one of 5 biggest clinics in Germany where foot surgery is offered.
All surgical operations on fore-, mid-, and hindfoot, as well as the ankle joint, are accomplished with internationally acknowledged techniques. Forefeet with complex deformities are operated on with joint-preserving techniques. The restoration of hind- and mid-foot is accomplished through dynamic tendon transfers and arthrodesis. In the area of the ankle, arthroscopic arthrodesis as well as ankle prostheses are performed.
Digital foot-distribution measurement and analysis of movement is offered postoperatively, as well as individual shoe and shoelift supply. This is done by our orthopedic shoemaker and technician, and is supported through computer analysis.
